Overview:
The Expense Binder is for filing, organizing and inputting
all of your financial and insurance related records. It becomes an invaluable
tool when you need to access backup documents when dealing with insurance
companies, accountants, and tax reporting agencies. A key feature in
the design is that it categorizes each expense into the proper tax reporting
area. As for insurance, it is entirely possible that your carrier may
need to be phoned or mailed on occasion to reconcile reimbursements,
confirm receipt of claims, or to be reminded of coverage issues. When
this happens, it is EXTREMELY helpful to have your paper trail ready
as backup. Remember, YOU are your child’s
caseworker. Unless you have a personal secretary, no one is going to keep
organized records of all the different agencies you must legally correspond
with on a regular basis. It’s up to you to stay on top of it all,
make documented communications on behalf of your child, and clearly articulate
your case to each agency if/when the time comes to do so. This is the
only way you can assure that your child is getting the most appropriate
support at the most appropriate time. You will be grateful to YOURSELF,
as this will take a lot of the time, frustration and hopelessness out
of dealing with red tape and bureaucracies.
